The small pleasures of new motherhood
- the first sip of coffee in the morning (somehow it has never tasted this good)
- my baby’s toothless grin (finally starting to get something in return)
- feeling really comfortable with who I am (damn, my body is awesome!)
- the shift in my priorities (I used to get stressed over the most inconsequential things)
- finding out how bang-on my instincts were in my choice of baby daddy
- totally guilt-free novel-reading and tv-watching while breastfeeding (not to mention being waited upon)
- the sense of belonging to Florence that living and working here, even marrying one of its own, never quite gave me
