I am so in love with this painting, Multitasking by Ricky Mujica (thanks blue milk). Unlike classic breastfeeding images would have you believe, nursing moms aren't always just gazing at their babies. They also look at their smart phones, go pee, read books...

While I'm grateful for the independence that has come with 'nursing liberation', I look back on that time with such fondness, and am really moved by how Mujica has captured it. This image also feels especially appropriate on the heels of the incredible plug Pope Francis gave public breastfeeding on Sunday (thanks Amy). Woo hoo!
